Windows & Doors

Aluminium windows + sliding doors

Aluminium windows and sliding doors have been supplied to your home by three suppliers:

  • BAW Aluminium Windows
  • G.James
  • Green Life Windows

All powder-coated in Colorbond Night Sky.

  • Clean tracks every 3 months using a vacuum or soft brush. Built-up dirt causes rollers to fail.
  • Lubricate tracks and rollers annually with a silicone-based spray (not oil-based).
  • Clean frames with mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on powder coat.
  • Check weather seals annually and replace if cracked or compressed.

Your home has a B&D Statesman garage door and Dynamic Door Service panel/tilt-lift doors.

🚨 CRITICAL — Servicing — ALWAYS use a professional

Do NOT service the garage doors yourself. DIY servicing will void the warranty. Our advice is to ALWAYS use All Style Garage Doors to service your garage doors. They are familiar with B&D and Dynamic Door Service systems and will keep your warranties valid.

  • Test the auto-reverse safety feature monthly by placing an object in the door path.
  • Clean door surfaces with mild soapy water.
  • Report any unusual noises, slow operation, or alignment issues to All Style Garage Doors immediately.
  • Hinge, roller, and spring lubrication.
  • Spring tension adjustment.
  • Auto-reverse calibration and safety beam servicing.
  • Cable, drum, and bearing replacement.
  • Annual safety check.

Internal doors include Old Adelaide Edwardian 3 Panel, Corinthian flush doors, and steel-framed doors from Steel Frame Doors & Windows. Cavity sliders are Hume Evolution.

  • Wipe doors with a damp cloth. Do not use solvent-based cleaners on painted finishes.
  • Tighten hinges every 6 months if doors begin to stick or sag.
  • Cavity slider tracks should be vacuumed periodically.
  • Steel-framed doors (Steel Frame Doors & Windows): wipe frame with a dry cloth. Touch up paint chips promptly to prevent corrosion.

Brass Door Hardware (Tradco, Lo & Co, Iver)

Section titled “Brass Door Hardware (Tradco, Lo & Co, Iver)”

Brass hardware has been used extensively throughout the home. This is a living finish.

  • Brass will develop a natural patina over time. This is expected and desirable.
  • If you prefer a polished look, use a dedicated brass polish (e.g. Brasso) sparingly.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or ammonia-based products on brass.
  • Wipe with a soft dry cloth for routine cleaning.

TIP: The patina on brass hardware is a feature, not a defect. It adds character and warmth to the home over time.
