Operation
Section titled “Operation”- Use the codepad to arm / disarm. Master code should be changed after handover.
- The 4G Permaconn module sends alerts via the smartphone app even if the home internet is offline.
- Pet-tolerant motion sensors will not trigger from small pets.
- Reed switches detect when doors and windows open.
Routine care
Section titled “Routine care”- Test the system monthly using the test function on the keypad.
- Change the master code after handover. Do not share your code.
- Replace backup battery every 3 to 5 years (the system will alert you when needed).
- For monitoring services, contact a licensed security provider.

Operation
Section titled “Operation”- Cameras record continuously to the on-premises NVR.
- VMD (motion detection) sends push notifications to your phone via the HiLook / Hikvision app.
- Adjust motion zones and sensitivity in the app to minimise false triggers from trees, pets, or passing cars.
Routine care
Section titled “Routine care”- Wipe camera lenses with a dry microfibre cloth every 3–6 months. Don’t use solvents.
- Check the NVR fan vent is clear.
- If a camera goes offline, the app will alert you — first action is restart the POE switch.
- Service the NVR hard disk every 3–5 years (LDP Electrical to advise).
Video Intercom (Aiphone JP Series)
Section titled “Video Intercom (Aiphone JP Series)”- Clean the touchscreen with a soft dry cloth.
- The system records images to SD/SDHC card. Replace the card when full.
- Door stations are weather-rated but should be kept clean.
Automated Gates (Fence Craft + Adelaide Gate Automation)
Section titled “Automated Gates (Fence Craft + Adelaide Gate Automation)”Your gates are Fence Craft Vertical Blade (AG02 hinged + AG03 sliding) with Adelaide Gate Automation motors.
- Test the safety beam sensors monthly by placing an object in the gate path.
- Lubricate hinges and tracks every 6 months.
- Know the manual override procedure in case of power failure.
- Service the motor annually through Adelaide Gate Automation or a qualified technician.
🚨 CRITICAL — Children and automated gates
Never allow children to operate or play near automated gates. Test safety sensors regularly.
